About These Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Juniver mobile application and website at joinjuniver.com (together, the "App"). They form a legally binding agreement between you and Juniver, Inc., a Delaware corporation with a business address at 251 Little Falls Drive, Wilmington, DE 19808, and its subsidiaries ("Juniver", "we", "us", or "our").

Please read these Terms carefully before using the App. By creating an account or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by them.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Where we make material changes, we will notify you before they take effect. Your continued use of the App after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

About the App

The App provides self-paced content, personalized tools, peer support, and AI-powered functionality designed to support users in understanding their relationship with food and working towards healthier eating behaviors. Juniver is not a healthcare provider, and the App is not a medical device, clinical service, or regulated healthcare service. The App is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical or mental health condition, and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Nothing in the App, including any AI-generated output, should be relied upon for clinical decision-making or as a substitute for professional medical advice. You should always seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional regarding any medical or mental health concerns. The App is intended solely as a supportive, adjunctive tool. Your use of the App does not create any doctor–patient, therapist–patient, or other clinical relationship between you and Juniver, and Juniver does not assume any duty of care in respect of your health or treatment.

Users Referred Through a Clinical Partner

If you have been referred to Juniver through a clinical partner such as a healthcare provider, clinic, or treatment program, your clinical provider remains fully responsible for your clinical care. The App does not replace or modify the clinical relationship between you and your provider, and your provider's clinical responsibilities are unaffected by your use of the App.

Your clinical provider may have a separate agreement with Juniver that governs how the App is made available to you. These Terms of Use apply to your use of the App irrespective of the means by which you have been granted access. Where a clinical partner has entered into a separate agreement with Juniver in connection with the provision of the App to you, the Terms of Use in this document shall apply concurrently with and shall not be construed to supersede or modify the terms of that agreement.

Who Can Use Juniver

The App is intended for users who are at least 13 years of age. If you are under 16, you may only use the App with the prior consent of a parent or guardian. By permitting a minor to use the App, the parent or guardian confirms that they have read and understood these Terms and accept responsibility for the minor's use of the App in accordance with them.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete that information as soon as reasonably practicable.

Your Account

To use the App you will need to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that takes place under your account. Please contact us at [email protected] without delay if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorization.

You agree to provide accurate and complete information when registering. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that are used in breach of these Terms.

Electronic Communications

By using the App and providing your contact details, you consent to receive communications from Juniver electronically, including by email and through the App. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications that Juniver provides to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be made in writing. This consent does not affect any statutory rights you may have in your jurisdiction of residence.

Use of Artificial Intelligence

Juniver incorporates artificial intelligence technology, including large language model functionality provided by third-party providers, in certain features of the App. The in-app chat is not staffed or operated by a therapist, counsellor, or medical professional, and does not provide clinical advice or diagnosis. AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not appropriate for your individual circumstances. You must not rely on any AI-generated output for medical, clinical, or safety-critical decisions. The App is not monitored in real time, and Juniver does not guarantee detection of risk, escalation, or intervention in any situation. If you are in distress or believe you may be at risk of harm, you should contact emergency services or a qualified healthcare professional immediately. Juniver does not use the content of your personal conversations or health information to train AI models.
